House With No Mirrors
Poem
What is it like living in a house with no mirrors?
A place with nothing to view your own true reflection.
Where the only reflections you have of yourself are distorted.
As distorted as the objects reflecting them.
Could that be the reason?
You look in my eyes like your soul is imprisoned in them.
Why do you choose to live in a house with no mirrors?
Why are you afraid to gaze into a mirror?
Is it because you fear that you would look worse on a surface that never lies?
Or because you know, you can never return to this place after seeing your light in its truest form?
It is a curse you have inflicted on your soul,
To live in a house with no mirrors.
